Women’s community patchwork

Women's group patchwork 1

Women's group patchwork 2Yesterday, I was involved with a really inspiring and interesting women’s event in Newcastle. Overall, about 54 women worked with me during the day, in between the talks, each making an applique, sequined square.  These I shall patchwork together to make a hanging to celebrate the day. The colours chosen for the patchwork was purple, white and green, the colours for celebrating women’s solidarity.

We all enjoyed sitting together, nattering and sewing, which was extremely relaxing. As I always say – ‘Making is good for the Soul’. Women's group patchwork 3 Women's group patchwork 4
